1. Why should I choose Senior Home Companions?
The program services offered by Senior Home Companions is by far the most comprehenisve home care service available. Professional nurses that are caring and dedicated to meeting YOUR home care needs. 2. How do you select and screen your caregivers?
All of our caregivers have training. Our caregivers' backgrounds are carefully scrutinized & the Companions are fingerprinted.
****We thoroughly check their employment history along with personal references, and conduct an extensive criminal background search using the Department of Justice and FBI databases****
Potential caregivers are interviewed and throughly trained. Throughout this process, all the information we acquire is used to make the best possible match between the client and caregiver.
3. Is Senior Home Companions insured?
Absolutely. For our client's protection and peace of mind, our caregivers are bonded & covered by workers' compensation insurance. We also carry general and professional liability insurance coverage to make sure that our families and clients have piece of mind
4. Must I commit to a minimum term of care?
We have a two-hour service minimum, which can be scheduled one time a day, week, or month. There is no commitment to a minimum term.
5. Can I meet my caregiver in advance?
Yes, you may meet your caregiver(s) in advance and decide who meets your unique needs.
6. What if my caregiver is sick?
At Senior Home Companions, we take our commitment to caring for your loved one seriously. Our staff are professional and we have excellent staffing options, so services will be provided without interruption and at no hassle to you.
7. How quickly can I get services?
The more notice we have, the easier it is. In the event of an emergency, we can find you a qualified caregiver within 12 hours of our licensed nurse assesment.
8. What are my payment options?
We accept private payments by check or cashiers check. We can also help you with Long Term Care (LTC) insurance paperwork which often covers our services.
9. Are your caregivers employees of Senior Home Companions or independent contractors?
Our nurses & caregivers are employees, not independent contractors. Senior Home Companions pays all required state, federal taxes as well as employer Social Security taxes. All financial & legal issues related to employment are addressed leaving the client free from worry about this issue.
